Pregnant female dogs have poor nutrition. The food that female dogs consume during pregnancy is insufficient in nutrition and can only maintain their own life activities. It cannot replenish the embryo's sufficient development needs, causing the embryo to barely form weak pups. After birth, these pups have very low immunity and resistance. In addition, the mother dog's insufficient breastfeeding ability causes most weak pups to die within a week after birth. When observed with veterinary B-ultrasound, it can be seen that the fetal movement of the puppies is not strong when the mother dog is pregnant.

Improper medication for pregnant female dogs. When pregnant female dogs are sick, the breeder does not understand the contraindications of medication during pregnancy and arbitrarily performs drug treatment, resulting in drug accumulation and poisoning of the embryo during the development period. Severe cases will cause stillbirth, and mild cases are mostly weak pups. Most weak pups die within a few days after birth. Therefore, in this process, when using veterinary B-ultrasound observation, the phenomenon of stillbirth can be seen.

After the birth of the puppies, the mother and the child rely on signals such as smell, vision and hearing to establish and consolidate the mother-child relationship. Due to human factors or environmental factors, the mother and the puppies are not able to establish a relationship during intercourse, resulting in the mother dog refusing to breastfeed, abandoning the puppies, or even biting the puppies, which results in the puppies not being able to breastfeed normally and dying. When breastfeeding is abnormal, veterinary B-ultrasound should be used to observe the breasts and puppies of the mother dog.

Puppy asphyxia is caused by factors such as narrow birth canal, large fetus, malposition of fetus, inhalation of amniotic fluid into the respiratory tract, pelvic deformity, umbilical cord entanglement, etc., which cause the puppies to have respiratory disorders or complete cessation after birth, while the heart is still beating. This situation is called neonatal asphyxia or pseudo-death. Therefore, during pregnancy, the mother dog's uterus should be observed by veterinary B-ultrasound. If the condition is not ideal, you can make preparations in advance.
