The effect of B-ultrasound examination on the treatment of estrus in different synchronous periods of ewes
There are two methods to detect the synchronization of estrus in ewes through observation of follicular development with sheep B: one method is to promote corpus luteum degeneration, thereby reducing the level of progesterone; the other method is to inhibit estrus and increase the level of progesterone. The properties and effects of the hormones used in the two methods are different, but both methods change the level of progesterone in the body of ewes to achieve the purpose of estrus synchronization. Both methods can be monitored by sheep B ultrasound during use.
The method of promoting corpus luteum degeneration first uses epinephrine to dissolve the corpus luteum and stop secreting progesterone, and then uses gonadotropin to induce estrus in ewes. The epinephrine used for synchronization of estrus includes imported high-efficiency chloroepinephrine and fluoroepinephrine. The use of epinephrine: generally subcutaneous injection, the injection volume is 80-120g per time, and it can also be directly injected into the cervix, which is also very effective. Some use pregnant mare serum (PMSG) as a treatment, which is more effective. After administration, the state of corpus luteum dissolution can be observed with sheep B ultrasound. It should be noted that since progesterone can dissolve the corpus luteum, pregnant ewes may suffer miscarriage due to the reduction of progesterone. Therefore, it is necessary to use goat ultrasound and other tools to confirm that the ewes are empty before using progesterone treatment.
Progesterone treatment method uses exogenous progesterone to continue to maintain the secretion of progesterone by the corpus luteum, creating an artificial luteal phase to achieve estrus synchronization. Daily intramuscular injection of progesterone 10-20 mg or vaginal suppository method to give progesterone (or other analogs) 50-60 mg for 12-18 days. After stopping the drug, in order to increase the estrus rate, pregnant mare serum that can develop follicles can be injected intramuscularly. After the plug is removed, the production of follicles should be observed using goat ultrasound, and then unified breeding can be carried out.
