Preventive examination of sheep diarrheal disease by B-ultrasonography
Sheep diarrhea is more common in lambs, especially in lambs less than 15 days of age, and rarely in adult sheep. Sheep with B-ultrasound examination at this stage of the sick lamb can clearly see gastrointestinal abnormalities, sheep diarrhea is usually related to small intestine diseases, mainly secretion and malabsorption of two pathological processes. Lambs have hypoplasia of intestinal mucosa, low acidity of gastric juice and low enzyme activity. Under the action of adverse factors, contents entering the gastrointestinal tract are prone to incomplete decomposition and fermentation, so that the fermented intermediate products stimulate the intestinal peristalsis and speed up the dysentery, and abnormalities in the gastrointestinal tract can be seen by B-ultrasound in sheep. Intestinal digestive dysfunction changes the concentration of hydrogen ions in chyme, creating an environment conducive to the reproduction of intestinal bacteria. Due to the proliferation of pathogenic bacteria, the diarrhea of lambs was aggravated.

The etiology of sheep diarrhea is relatively complex, and regular observation of sheep B-ultrasound can be used to achieve prevention. Simple indigestion and toxic indigestion of lambs caused by poor feeding and management are common. There are diarrhea caused by pathogenic microorganisms such as rotavirus, Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Clostridium welteri, and insect-derived diarrhea caused by coccidia and cryptosporidium. Diarrhea in adult sheep is usually caused by forage deterioration, cold or other diseases.
Establish a high standard feeding management system, a strict quarantine and isolation disinfection system, a scientific and reasonable immunization program and a deworming plan based on parasite survey and follow-up detection, including regular inspection of sheep with B-ultrasound. In order to improve the feeding conditions of sheep and make sheep grow in a healthy state, the use of sheep B-ultrasound inspection is an important means of preventive work.
