Veterinary ultrasound contrast technology is currently one of the fastest developing technologies in the field of veterinary medical imaging. Animal B-ultrasound contrast uses contrast agents to generate resonance and scattering in the ultrasound field, releasing nonlinear harmonic signals for imaging, enhancing the imaging of animal tissues and organs, and displaying the microvascular structure of tissues, which helps to improve the ability of animal B-ultrasound diagnosis and differentiation of diseases. At present, veterinary B-ultrasound contrast has been applied for the differentiation and diagnosis of focal liver lesions. Liver space occupying lesions are mainly divided into two categories: benign and malignant. In animal pathology, the differentiation of neovascularization and portal blood supply of lesions is mainly achieved. Veterinary B-ultrasound contrast can precisely diagnose and differentiate by exploring the blood flow perfusion inside the lesions.

The specificity and sensitivity of using animal ultrasound contrast to diagnose hepatic hemangioma were 97.5% and 96.3%, respectively. Someone has diagnosed cases of liver cirrhosis and proliferative nodules in animals, and the diagnostic accuracy of animal B-ultrasound contrast imaging is 90%. The diagnostic accuracy of animal B-ultrasound and contrast-enhanced ultrasound is 90%. Some people have also widely applied ultrasound imaging technology in the diagnosis of tumors in animal cirrhosis and hyperplasia. Animal liver cancer cell specific antibodies are adsorbed on the surface of liposomes, and ultrasound microbubbles made of them have liver cancer cell specificity, which can specifically improve the diagnosis rate of liver cancer, especially in early stages. Someone conducted a veterinary ultrasound contrast examination on animals with glandular cancer, and found that compared with traditional glandular ultrasound, veterinary ultrasound contrast can greatly improve the accuracy of glandular cancer diagnosis. Veterinary B-ultrasound contrast can also be applied to the treatment of animal diseases, mainly related to the cavitation effect of ultrasound. The use of cavitation effect can cause the destruction and dissolution of blood clots in blood vessels. Therefore, veterinary B-ultrasound contrast provides new ideas and development prospects for the clinical treatment of thrombosis and other related diseases. In addition, animal ultrasound contrast can also be applied to genetic engineering and the diagnosis of heart disease. Although contrast-enhanced ultrasound technology is widely used in various clinical fields of animal medicine due to its advantages of simplicity, speed, convenience, and no damage.
