The estrus of cows is a rhythmic biological phenomenon. Cows are multi-cycle estrus animals throughout the year, that is, they can estrus all year round without seasonality. When the weather is warm and the grass is good, the estrus is obvious, and it is easier to conceive when mating. When the cow is observed by B-ultrasound, the follicle development during this period is also better. In order to accurately grasp the estrus time of cows and improve the detection rate and insemination rate of estrus cows in the herd, artificial insemination personnel and breeders should master and be familiar with the basic situation of the herd they are responsible for, and conduct careful inspections at least twice a day. It is best to use cow B-ultrasound to observe whether there are cows in estrus.

For cows in estrus detected by B-ultrasound, regardless of whether they are bred this time, they must be registered so that these cows can be inspected next time. Breeders, herders or cattle farmers should also pay attention to the dynamics of the cows they raise, observe whether they are in estrus, and inseminate the estrus cows in time. After the cow B-ultrasound examination, the key to the quality of the cow's conception is to accurately grasp the estrus of the cow. Generally, the external manifestations of normal estrus cows are relatively obvious, so external observation supplemented by vaginal examination can be used to judge. However, the duration of estrus in cows is short, and it is easy to miss mates if you don't pay attention to observation. It is best to use cattle B-ultrasound to conduct. In production practice, the duty officer, breeder and milker can be mobilized to observe together. Establish a cow estrus prediction system, and predict the next estrus date based on the previous estrus date (calculated according to the estrus cycle). Some cows often have quiet estrus or false estrus, some cows are malnourished, reproductive organ function declines, follicles develop slowly, and ovulation time is delayed or advanced. It is very necessary to determine the ovulation time of these cows through rectal examination or cattle B-ultrasound examination.
