The best insemination site for frozen sperm breeding of ewes is to insert the vas deferens into the cervix to a depth of 1.5-2 cm. In order to accurately inject semen into the uterus of the ewe, it can be carried out under the monitoring of sheep B-ultrasound. The specific operation method is: the ewe to be inseminated is secured on the breeding rack in advance, so that the ewe's hind legs are raised 8-10 cm from the ground. One person can also clamp the ewe's head and neck with his legs, grab the ewe's two hind legs with both hands, and slightly raise the ewe's hindquarters to maintain a high back and low front posture. The inseminator will apply vaseline and other lubricants to the disinfected cavity opener (or endoscope), gently insert it into the ewe's vagina, press the cavity opener to open the vagina, and then find the cervix with the help of a light source, insert the vas deferens with a thin tube into the cervix, and slowly rotate it into the cervix for about 1.5-2 cm, then slowly inject semen, and then withdraw the vas deferens. This work can also be carried out under the monitoring of sheep B-ultrasound.

During the insemination operation, the action of inserting the cavity opener (or endoscope) and vas deferens into the ewe should be gentle. If the ewe swings violently, the inseminator should go with the flow and swing with the ewe, and monitor it through sheep B-ultrasound to prevent damage to the ewe's reproductive tract; if the ewe is straining due to the stimulation of vas deferens insertion and semen injection, the vas deferens insertion and semen injection should be suspended, and the insemination process should be continued after the ewe is quiet, so as to avoid the ewe's straining and causing the vas deferens insertion to be blocked, and even causing the injected semen to flow back. In addition, after the insemination is completed, the ewe's hindquarters can be gently patted with the hand, and the ewe can rest in place for 10-15 minutes. This is to facilitate the insemination of semen to move deep into the uterus. At the same time, the ewe who have just been inseminated should avoid strong driving movements to avoid stress reactions that reduce the conception rate of frozen semen mating. After mating, sheep B-ultrasound should be used for diagnosis.
