The impact of early pregnancy diagnosis using B-ultrasound machine on breeding rate in cattle
From the comparative analysis of the breeding rate data of adult cows, it can be recognized that due to the gradual use of bovine B-ultrasound machines in the second half of 2007 in three farms, and the adoption of bovine B-ultrasound machines in all three experimental farms by 2008, the breeding rate of adult cows has increased by 19-21 percentage points (P<0.01 and P<0.05), indicating that early pregnancy diagnosis with bovine B-ultrasound machines can play a significant role in promoting the completion of the breeding rate of adult cows. From the comparative analysis of the breeding rate data of young cattle, it can be seen that there is not much difference in the completion of breeding rate among young cattle (P>0.05), and the decrease in one breeding rate may be due to the adjustment of herd structure or the need to regulate calving distribution. Overall, the breeding rate of young cattle is uniform and stable, and the role of B-ultrasound Machines in cattle is weakened. However, from another perspective, we should recognize that under the high temperature conditions in southern summer, the breeding work of young cattle can play a certain buffering and regulating role in the overall reproductive indicators of the pOPUlation.
The use of Bovine B-ultrasound machine for early pregnancy diagnosis and strengthening of reproductive program management has two purposes:
(1) Early understanding of the pregnancy status of breeding and timely monitoring of the progress of breeding work. For pregnant cows, we should know their general situation, which cannot be used as a basis for determining pregnancy.
(2) Accurately identifying empty cows and knowing the proportion and individuals of empty cows as early as possible is what we need to truly grasp. The application of B-ultrasound machine for early pregnancy diagnosis in cow breeding work has detected in advance the cows that do not return to mating and are actually empty after mating. This allows for early technical treatment and treatment of these cows in production, and enables them to participate in monthly breeding plans as soon as possible. This technical link can be used to improve the actual effective completion rate of breeding and provide effective guarantees for breeding work.
