The gestation period, lactation period, weaning period, and interval between re mating of sows are the reproductive cycle of sows. The length of lactation period in sows can vary during these three stages.

During the lactation period, it is best to use imported animal B-ultrasound to perform ultrasound examinations on piglets and sows. After the examination, piglets can be weaned early, and the lactation period of sows can be shortened. This can help sows enter estrus and mating stages as early as possible, and overall the reproductive cycle of sows can be shortened. It is also possible to continuously observe lactating sows through imported animal B-ultrasound. Shortening the reproductive period of sows can also improve their utilization efficiency, allowing them to produce more piglets.

Preventing difficult delivery and shortening the delivery process of sows are important measures to reduce accidental piglet deaths and improve sow productivity. Proper monitoring of sows before and after childbirth is essential, and it is important for sows to undergo imported animal B-ultrasound examination before delivery. Disinfect and rinse the delivery shed 2-4 days before the sow gives birth to keep the surrounding environment clean and hygienic. Attention should be paid to reducing the amount of feed fed one week before delivery, and adding about 75% laxatives appropriately to the feed. Imported animal B-ultrasound should be used to observe the intestinal condition before delivery, and any problems should be dealt with in a timely manner to reduce constipation during sow delivery.

Feed preventive drugs according to the epidemic dynamics of major diseases in the pig herd. Thirdly, preparations should be made for iodine tincture, oxytocin, and postpartum piglet insulation equipment required for manual delivery, in order to reduce difficult delivery and production time for sows. When sows experience difficult delivery before delivery, imported veterinary ultrasound should be used to observe the type and condition of the difficult delivery. If a sow has difficulty giving birth, injection of oxytocin can be administered. If not, surgery can be performed to reduce the mortality rate of piglets, which can improve the utilization efficiency of sows.
