Ultrasound examination of spleen position and parameters in imported cows
The distance from the midline of the back of imported cattle to the ultrasound probe is used to determine the detection position of the spleen. Imported cattle use B-ultrasound probes to detect the upper edge of the spleen at approximately 69cm from the midline of the back and the lower edge of the spleen at approximately 83cm from the midline of the back between the 7th and 8th ribs. Imported cattle use B-ultrasound probes to detect the upper edge of the spleen approximately 30cm from the midline of the back and the lower edge approximately 44cm from the midline of the back between the 10th and 11th ribs. Imported cattle use B-ultrasound probes to detect the upper edge of the spleen approximately 17cm from the midline of the back and the lower edge approximately 32cm from the midline of the back between the 11th and 12th ribs. In summary, observing the spleen between the 11th and 12th ribs is a suitable location.

Ultrasound examination of spleen operation position in imported cows
Ultrasound spleen image of imported cattle: The spleen parenchyma shows weak echo intensity, with slightly higher echoes than the liver, homogeneous and fine light spots. The elliptical or elongated dark echo areas mixed with the spleen parenchyma are blood vessels of different sizes in the spleen. The spleen is a band like structure from the dorsal side of the head to the ventral side, with blunt and rounded ends. On the ultrasound images of imported cattle, a smooth and thick strong echo band appears in the far-field of the spleen image. Below the band is a dark area without echo, and the shape of the band varies slightly depending on the intercostal detection.
