The process of using ultrasound to examine the gallbladder and kidneys of cows
The gallbladder of cows, as an important organ of the digestive system, is embedded in the gap between the liver and the abdominal wall. When cows use B-ultrasound to explore the liver, the morphology and structural characteristics of the gallbladder can be clearly seen. The gallbladder shape is pear shaped, with a narrow and round head and a wide and blunt tail. The gallbladder wall shows moderate echogenicity, and the boundary is clear and neat. When cows use a B-ultrasound probe placed on the head side of the gallbladder, the bile duct can be observed through changes in respiratory status. The bile duct is the same as the gallbladder wall, and the boundary is clear and easy to see.
The acquisition coefficient of normal cow kidney ultrasound images:
Type of B-ultrasound probe for cattle: convex array transducer probe; Probe frequency: 3-4.5MHz; Depth: 16-22cm; Dynamic range: 80-90dB;
Time gain compensation: centered; Total gain: 80-100dB; Spread speed: TI=1.2; Focus position: 6-8cm;
Operation site: The 12th intercostal space on the left and right sides of the body, as well as the 13th rib arch and the posterior extension of the rib fossa, are used to obtain the best bovine ultrasound images of the kidney in different intercostal spaces.
The 12th intercostal space and the posterior edge of the 13th rib on the dorsal side of the right abdominal wall of cows can be detected by a bovine B-ultrasound probe to detect the right kidney, while the left kidney is difficult to detect through the body surface. The cow kidney as a whole presents an irregular multi nipple shape. When the bovine B-ultrasound probe is used vertically to the body surface, an elliptical structure can be observed in the renal pelvis section. The renal medulla shows weak echo intensity and homogeneous light spots. The echo intensity of the bovine renal cortex is slightly lower than that of the liver, and the light spots are thinner and denser in the bovine B-ultrasound image. The cow renal sinus is high echo.
