M-mode in veterinary B-ultrasound: By measuring the inner diameter of the left ventricle during systole and diastole, the volume of the left ventricle during systole and diastole is calculated, and the stroke volume (SV), ejection fraction (EF), and fractional shortening (FS) are calculated and displayed.

First, move the cursor to the end systolic phase of the left ventricle, and the ESD measurement value and end systolic volume ESV calculation result will be displayed in the window for measuring the end systolic diameter of the left ventricle. Move the cursor to the end diastolic position of the left ventricle and measure the end diastolic diameter (EDD) of the left ventricle. The EDD measurement value and end diastolic volume (EDV) calculation result will be displayed in the result window.

The B-mode ultrasound in animal use is more accurate in measuring left ventricular volume on two-dimensional echocardiography. Especially in B/M image mode, two-dimensional echocardiography of end systolic and diastolic phases can be obtained, which is more convenient for users to operate. Therefore, it is recommended to perform cardiac measurement calculations in B/M image mode. The measurement and calculation of SV and EF on animal B-ultrasound images are obtained by calculating the volume of the left ventricle during systole and diastole. But using different formulas, the measured parameters are also different.

Animal aortic valve flow measurement AVSV can only be calculated after measuring or inputting the ejection time. After measuring left ventricular function, cardiac output CO can be measured or heart rate values can be entered. The average peripheral shortening rate (MVCF) can be calculated by measuring or inputting ejection time (LVET) after measuring ventricular function on animal B-ultrasound.

Calculate the cardiac index CI and heart rate index SVI. After measuring left ventricular function and heart rate, the cardiac index and heart rate index can be calculated by inputting height and weight values.
