The scanning method for cattle breeding determination using B-ultrasound is to determine and clean the scanning area. Then, a coupling agent is applied to the measurement mold plane and probe plane, and the measurement mold is bonded to the probe. An appropriate amount of coupling agent is applied to the detection position. The imported cattle are placed in parallel with the B-ultrasound probe and measurement mold between the 12th and 13th ribs, so that the measurement mold is as close as possible to the back of the cattle, and the force should be even.

Scanning can be performed from two perspectives, cross-sectional scanning can assess muscle tissue, and longitudinal scanning can provide a comprehensive evaluation of muscle mass. Observe and adjust the screen image to make the contrast and gain appropriate, try to increase the near-field and decrease the far-field, and freeze the image when obtaining the ideal image. Then use relevant measurement software to measure the back and waist thickness and Eye muscle area in real time, and add explanatory information (such as measurement time, location, cow number, etc.), and then store or print the images.

When measuring, it is necessary to make the straight plane of the probe perpendicular to the back midline and longitudinal axis, and not oblique, in order to obtain cross-sectional images of the positive and horizontal axes. When identifying imported cattle using ultrasound images, the first step is to determine the three strong echo bands produced by the skin interface, adipose tissue, and longest dorsal muscle membrane. Then, the strong echo images of the muscle membrane around the eye muscles are determined to determine the perimeter of the eye muscle area.

The probe can be placed in the longitudinal or transverse plane. The longitudinal plane can only be used for distance measurement and intramuscular fat measurement of cattle, while the transverse plane can be used for distance measurement to determine the thickness of skin, fat, and lumbar muscles, as well as the circumference measurement of longitudinal muscles. The temperature of the measuring module and coupling agent may also have a significant impact on the quality of the formed image, especially in cold seasons. When the temperature of both the measuring module and the coupling agent approaches 27 ℃, the best image can be obtained.
