Animal ultrasound for live egg collection from cows
The application of in vitro fertilization technology, sex control technology, and cloning technology in the breeding of cows, but the insufficient source of oocytes is one of the limiting factors for the promotion and application of these technologies. The live egg collection technology for cows directly collects oocytes from live cow ovaries, solving the problem of insufficient oocyte sources.

Insert the probe with an egg retrieval needle into the deep part of the vagina, reach the vaginal vault, and place the probe on the corresponding side of the vault according to the location where the ovary needs to be punctured. The operator holds the probe in one hand and pulls the ovary across the rectal wall to adhere to the tip of the probe with the other hand. On the animal B-ultrasound monitor, the ovaries can be clearly seen, and follicles and corpus luteum can be distinguished based on the image. The number of follicles on each side is recorded, and the position of the ovaries and probe is adjusted so that the follicles are located on the puncture guide wire. Then, the puncture needle is advanced to puncture the follicles. At the same time, use a foot switch to control the vacuum pump to extract follicular fluid, and maintain the pressure of the vacuum pump at a level that allows the liquid to flow out in a flocculent form. From the monitor, it can be observed that the extracted follicular fluid begins to shrink and become irregular, until the follicular fluid is completely extracted and the follicle disappears on the image. After exiting the puncture needle, the second follicle is punctured.
Fatigue is treated by various factors (5-9 months old), and the results show that hormone treatment does not affect factors such as lactation, nutrition, season, variety, parity, difficult delivery, or an increase in the total number of ovarian follicles. However, it can significantly increase the number of follicles in the uterus, the residual effects of the previous pregnancy, milk production, disease types, and improve the quality of live oocytes.
The feasibility of live egg collection from lethargic cows can be achieved by collecting eggs after superovulation, which can expand the source of oocytes and fully utilize the reproductive potential of infertile cows treated with hormones, thereby increasing economic benefits.
