The use of an Eye muscle area measuring instrument to detect live pig Backfat thickness and eye muscle area B-type ultrasound measurement method is an advanced technique for determining lean meat percentage in live pigs. Compared with traditional slaughter measurement methods, it is characterized by real-time measurement of live pigs, no damage to pig bodies, convenient and fast measurement, small errors, and no slaughter losses. It can be used to measure breeding pigs, reduce breeding costs in pig farms, shorten breeding time, and fully discover and utilize excellent breeding pigs to produce high-quality lean meat commercial pigs.

The eye muscle area analyzer detected the effect of adding vitamin E on the eye muscle area of pigs and found no significant correlation between the two, providing a reference for our production practice. In improving meat quality traits, breeding should be taken as the starting point to achieve intuitive and effective improvement goals. Through data analysis of eye muscle area and lean meat percentage, it was found that there is a positive correlation between eye muscle area and lean meat percentage. A study was conducted on the correlation between eye muscle area and lean meat percentage in live measurement of Kazakh sheep and Xinjiang mountain sheep using an eye muscle area measuring instrument. The results showed that there was a positive correlation between eye muscle area and lean meat percentage in live measurement of sheep using ultrasound. The backfat thickness and eye muscle area of 20 pigs from 3 pig breeds were measured in vivo using an eye muscle area measuring instrument. By analyzing the correlation between backfat thickness and eye muscle area, it was found that there was a negative correlation between backfat thickness and lean meat percentage in pigs measured by ultrasound in vivo.

The pig live eye muscle area measuring instrument provides technical basis for the B-ultrasound measurement of pig live backfat thickness and eye muscle area, including measurement methods, Baoding requirements, instrument selection requirements, image storage, use, and data reading.
