veterinary B-ultrasound observation of female dogs in estrus and mating should start to pay attention to nutrition, especially 20 days after mating, due to the development of the embryo, the various effects of the placenta and the embryo itself will cause a series of physiological changes in the pregnant female dog, and a small gestational sac can be seen on the veterinary B-ultrasound. Therefore, it is necessary to meet the physiological needs of the female dog and the fetus, and the pregnant female dog should be specially fed, and the veterinary B-ultrasound should be used regularly to observe the pregnancy status of the female dog. In the first month of pregnancy, the fetus is small, so there is no need to give the female dog special feeding, and it can be fed according to the original feeding method. After one month of pregnancy, the fetus begins to develop rapidly, and the need for various nutrients increases sharply. At this time, in addition to increasing the amount of food supply, the female dog in the late pregnancy should also be supplemented with some easily digestible, high-protein, calcium, phosphorus, and vitamin-rich feeds, such as beans, offal, eggs, and milk. Feed three times a day during the 35-45th day of pregnancy, and observe with veterinary B-ultrasound. During the 46-60th day of pregnancy, due to the growth of the fetus and the distension of the abdominal cavity, it should be changed to more meals and less feeding, 4 times a day, to avoid indigestion caused by overeating and increase pressure on the uterus. Do not feed too cold feed and water to avoid irritating the gastrointestinal tract, affecting digestion, and even causing miscarriage. Reduce the amount of food slightly before delivery, feed easily digestible feed, provide enough clean drinking water, and pay attention to cold and heat protection.

During the pregnancy of the female dog, keeping the pregnant dog properly active can promote blood circulation, increase appetite, and be beneficial to the development of the fetus. The blood flow condition can also be seen on the veterinary B-ultrasound. Pregnant female dogs, especially those in the late pregnancy, should be released alone and adopt a free activity method. Veterinary B-ultrasound observation of pregnant female dogs in the late pregnancy can show that the fetus grows relatively fast. Appropriate exercise can reduce the pain of the female dog during childbirth. Exercise should be interspersed in the morning, noon and evening. Rest for 1 hour after exercise, or give some food 1 hour before exercise. The kennel for pregnant female dogs should be spacious, clean, dry, well-lit and quiet. They should be kept in a single circle at 40 days of pregnancy and in the delivery room at 50 days.
