Two security protection mechanisms for veterinary B-ultrasound database
One of the characteristics of the veterinary B-ultrasound database is to ensure that the data is safe, reliable, correct and effective. The security of the database refers to protecting the database to prevent data leakage, modification or destruction caused by illegal use. However, due to various reasons, the security of the database cannot be perfect. Computer systems have this problem. In the database system, a large amount of data is stored in a centralized manner, especially the large amount of medical information data, and the security of the system is more worthy of attention.
Since the digital microcomputer veterinary B-ultrasound diagnostic instrument is a special machine for the industry, when considering the security of the database, we mainly adopt the following two security protection mechanisms:
The first is the veterinary B-ultrasound usage permission setting. Ordinary users only have the permission to add new records to the database. The data addition operation is usually performed when new patient information is entered and a diagnostic report is generated. It has no special requirements for the operator. Once the records in the database are modified, deleted, backed up, etc., the system administrator's permissions are required. Because many medical data are sensitive, they are generally confidential to the outside world. Through this permission setting, the security of information can be effectively guaranteed.
The second is the encryption setting of the veterinary B-ultrasound database. The database is encrypted using the security mechanism of the MS Access database itself. If necessary, certain records or fields of records can also be encrypted. For the digital microcomputer B-ultrasound diagnosis system we developed, a security mechanism for encrypting the entire database system is used. Even if the database is accidentally copied, it is impossible to open the database to browse the medical data without the administrator's decryption password.
