The dog's gastrointestinal veterinary B-ultrasound image is taken when the dog is lying on the back and secured. When the stomach is empty, the left and right hypochondral and xiphoid cartilage parts are scanned. The dog's stomach wall shows alternating layers of high and low echoes on the veterinary B-ultrasound (the strong echo inside the anus is the mucosal surface layer, the weak echo inside is the mucosal layer, the medium echo layer is the submucosal layer, the weak echo layer outside is the muscle layer, and the strong echo layer outside the anus is the subserosa and the serosa). The stomach wall is 3-5 mm thick, and the duodenal wall is 2-3 mm thick. If the gastrointestinal contents are liquid, they are anechoic. If they are gas, they show a high-intensity echo interface, which is like a cloud, with an acoustic shadow at the far end, and normal peristaltic waves can be seen; if they are mucous contents, they are strong echoes, but there is no acoustic shadow after the echo.

The dog's pancreas veterinary B-ultrasound image is taken when the dog is lying on the back or side and is empty. Scan the abdomen transversely at the 1st-2nd lumbar plane, move up and down, and scan obliquely in the right low and left high position. The long axis of the veterinary B-ultrasound image of the canine pancreas is oblique, with low right and high left, and the border is neat and smooth. Sometimes the boundary is unclear because of the similarity with the surrounding tissue echo. The internal echo of the canine pancreas is uniform and presents small light spots, the surface is clear and flat, and the echo level is not lower than that of the animal liver. The pancreas echo of obese and elderly dogs is increased.

The veterinary B-ultrasound of canine pancreatitis shows weakened echo formation, strong tumor echo, and more echo-free areas in abscesses and cysts.
