Observation of image characteristics of dairy goats 21-50 days old using B-ultrasound machine
Sheep ultrasound tomography, abbreviated as sheep ultrasound, has the characteristics of intuitive, non stimulating, non damaging, and real-time display of the relationship between the explored site and adjacent tissues and organs. Nowadays, many animal husbandry companies use it to diagnose pregnancy and observe embryo development in livestock, and have achieved satisfactory results.
Exploration of dairy goats: Exploration begins 20 days after mating and is conducted every 2-3 days. Rectal exploration was performed 20-35 days after mating. After 40 days of mating, in vitro exploration was conducted. During the exploration, the sheep should stand (for rectal exploration) or lie on their side to stabilize. The external exploration site is located on both sides of the breast and in the area with few hairs directly in front of the breast. As pregnancy progresses, the exploration site can expand to the right abdominal wall. Local shearing, applying lotus root agent on the probe for exploration.
When exploring, the probe should be closely attached to the skin and slowly scanned from the base of the breast (the breasts of trapped goats are larger. The probe can be moved as far as possible to the opposite side of the breast) to both sides or from the middle of the breast straight forward. Before rectal exploration, the sheep's rectum should be emptied of fecal matter. Apply lotus root mixture onto the probe and deliver it into the rectum, approximately to the entrance of the pelvic cavity. Tilt downwards and towards both sides at a 45 ° angle for careful scanning. After scanning the appropriate image, stabilize the probe and freeze the image first. Take another photo.
On the 21st day after pregnancy, the embryo sac was detected in dairy goats. The embryo sac is an irregular circular dark area filled with fluid, with an average length of 1.0-1.1crn.
On the 23rd day of pregnancy, embryonic reflex appeared. Light spots or clusters appear at the bottom of the dark area. Elliptical, with weak reflection, with an average length of 0.55-0.69cm. On the 24th day of pregnancy, the fetal heartbeat is detected as a small, rapidly and regularly flickering light spot within the fetal body.
At 40 days of pregnancy, dairy goats can distinguish between the fetal head and body, and at 42 days, there is a reflex in the fetal skull, resulting in fetal movement.

At 45 days, there was a significant skull reflex,
The inherent morphology of the head is relatively clear after 50 days. The size is 10cm × 12cm, and at 53 days, fetal movement is evident, with clear contours of the fetal head, neck, limbs, and ribs.
