During the entire pregnancy process of the mother dog, pay attention to the diet. Provide high-quality feed with sufficient nutrition, good palatability and easy digestion every day, adjust the feeding frequency in time, but the type of feed should not be changed frequently.

In the first month of pregnancy, as long as the mother dog's usual feeding level is guaranteed, do not add too much nutritious food such as meat, eggs, milk, etc., because it can be seen on veterinary B-ultrasound that the fetus grows slowly at this stage, and too much nutrition will be absorbed by the mother dog, which is prone to dystocia.

When the mother dog is about 25 days pregnant, the embryo can be clearly observed on veterinary B-ultrasound. Some mother dogs will have physiological reactions, showing loss of appetite or vomiting. At this time, there is no need to take medicine or see a doctor. It is a normal phenomenon and will generally pass in about 3 days. However, during this period, it is necessary to ensure the palatability and easy digestion of the food provided.

After one month of pregnancy, through veterinary B-ultrasound observation, the fetus develops rapidly and the need for various nutrients increases sharply. At this time, it should be fed 3 times a day, and some foods rich in protein, vitamins and minerals (calcium, phosphorus, iron, etc.) should be appropriately supplemented, such as meat, eggs, milk and vegetables.

After 45 days of pregnancy, the mother dog's food intake decreases each time. At this time, she needs to be fed in small amounts and multiple times to reduce the pressure on the uterus. The feeding can be adjusted to 4 times a day. The fetus can be clearly seen on the veterinary B-ultrasound.

Do not feed too cold feed during pregnancy. It should generally be kept at 18-25℃, and there should be enough clean drinking water. Keep exercising. Pregnant mother dogs should have a certain amount of outdoor exercise every day. Outdoor exercise can promote blood circulation, increase appetite, and benefit fetal development. If the fetus is too large when observed on veterinary B-ultrasound when there is insufficient exercise, it will easily cause dystocia. Generally, it should be no less than 4 times a day, about 30 minutes each time, mainly free exercise, and it is best to be released alone.
